UNE Open Day

Some of our Year 11 and 12 students attended the University of New England Armidale Campus Open Day where they had the opportunity to get a taste of Uni life. The students were able to attend and participate in course-specific information sessions and tours including Science and Technology interactive tours, Medicine info sessions, and tours of the Glasshouse complex, Animal House and campus and accommodation facilities.

 

Australian Defence Force Visit

Students across Year 10 and Year 11 had the opportunity to attend an information session from the Australian Defence Force. Representatives from the Army and Navy attended McCarthy and provided students with a wealth of knowledge in regards to entry requirements, the diverse career pathways offered, Gap Year with the military and what it is like to serve the community. 

 

Charles Sturt Future Student Engagement Information Session

Year 12 students had the chance to sit down with representatives from Charles Sturt University and have all their questions answered pertaining to early entry requirements, on-campus accommodation facilities, campus locations, ‘O Week’, what it’s like to live away from home and the overall experience of being a first year university student.

A Reminder for Students to Check their School Emails

Students are reminded to check their emails daily. The transition team will submit numerous Expression of Interests (EOI) for training, professional learning and/or fantastic events.
