Mr Irwin's Message

Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

We’re now into the middle of term and things are settled and tracking well across the school. Students are well into their novel studies and content knowledge units in Literacy. We finally got to our first assembly for term after our Cross Country events in the first few weeks of term. I was really impressed with on a Friday afternoon how well students engaged and participated in this, particularly Bell Music Karaoke!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope all our Mum’s Nan’s and special people had a terrific Mother’s Day on Sunday. We are grateful for the support you give our students and hope they showed you some love and gratitude over the weekend! This week’s newsletter video is of course our Mother’s Day celebration.

A huge thankyou to our PFA helpers for running the Mother’s Day stall on Thursday. It was nice to hear feedback from them about how well students lined up, waited and used their manners at the stall. Our PFA does a wonderful job organising events that support student’s enjoyment of school and are always looking out for more helping hands. This doesn’t mean having to attend every meeting, but if you’re interested in helping out at the occasional PFA activity such as a stall, or lunch order day let the office know of your interest and we can pass along your details.

Senior School Camp

Final details regarding Senior School camp will be sent home shortly. A reminder to families this is on the 18th - 20th of June (Wednesday to Friday). This year’s camp will be at Urban Camp in Melbourne and is a great contrast from the daily life in student’s experience in Teesdale. The hustle and bustle of the city, catching trams and seeing some of Melbourne’s great attractions is a wonderful experience.
