LITERACY

Exciting Launch of the Sounds-Write Literacy Program

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Year 7 literacy initiative, Sounds-Write, which officially commenced in Week 2 of Term 2. Following extensive diagnostics and testing conducted throughout Term 1, this evidence-based program has been introduced to support and strengthen our students’ reading and writing skills.

Designed to build confidence and competence, Sounds-Write helps students develop essential literacy foundations that transfer across all subject areas. Each week, students participate in two hour-long sessions, working closely with trained staff to improve phonics knowledge, spelling, reading fluency, and writing accuracy.

We look forward to seeing our students grow as confident, capable readers and writers through this exciting new program.
