Year 8 Media Studies students have been doing some great work in class. Toward the end of Term 2 and throughout this term they have been working on Photographic conventions and how they can be used in photography. These photographic conventions look specifically at the placement of subjects within the photo through the use of “Rule of Thirds” and elements such as leading lines, balancing elements, framing, depth, symmetry, . Students have been planning their photographs; through drawings, then explanations of how they are using conventions in their photos. Students have used a variety of different subjects in their photos and the beautiful surrounds and greenery at Mickleham Secondary have given them lots of great things to photograph. We are so proud of their progress so far.
