PREMIERS READING CHALLENGE

It is great to see so many students logging books and coming into the library looking for PRC books.

And now for the current total ………an amazing 1935 books! Keep up the great work!

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, family day cares, childcare centres, bookshops, family homes and many other places around the country.

The National Simultaneous Storytime book for 2025 is The Truck Cat, written by Deborah Frenkel and illustrated by Danny Snell.

As part of the celebration of this event, I have created a display in our library, and I am asking for your help! I would love to display any photos you would like to share of your cat/s or if you do not have a cat, any drawing of a cat you wish to create. I ask that they be of postcard size, so we can display lots of pictures. Please either bring them directly into me in the library or pop them in your reader bag and I will collect them during your class library session. I have started the display with photos of my two cats, Merlin and Loki and they would love to see lots more join them! If you need any paper for your drawing, please see me in the library.

BOOK CLUB

Issue 3 catalogues were distributed last week, and all orders are due by 4pm today (Friday 9th May).

THE GREAT LPPS BOOK HUNT!

We are still having the call out for those sneaky school library books that have gone missing. All books located will receive a raffle ticket that will go in the draw for a Canteen voucher. If you are unsure whether your child has any past due library books, please contact me or your class teacher to assist.
