Parents and Friends Committee News

We hope everyone had a nice Easter break and is already settling back into the school routine.

Mother’s Day Stall

We hope all of the Mum’s and Mother-like figures feel extra loved and spoiled this weekend. It was wonderful to see so many eager students carefully picking out gifts for their loved ones.

A big round of thank you’s to everyone who contributed to the Mother’s Day stall:

  • Volunteers who helped bundle gifts and/or manned the stalls.
  • The PFC team who worked hard to source gifts and plan the event.
  • LPPS staff who supported us to make this event happen.

This year we sourced many gifts from local small businesses. We have given them a shout out on the PFC Facebook page so head over there to check them out!

Next Event: COLOUR RUN

Coming June 5th! Please refer to the Colour Run page of the newsletter for more details.

Current Volunteering Opportunities:

Our school community is the best! We have already had so many people sign up to help with the Colour Run, there are now six spots left to fill. If you can fill one of those spots please register via this link volunteersignup.org/AH9QQ

All volunteers must have a valid Working With Children Check and have completed the Child Safe module. The Module must be completed each year. It doesn’t take long to complete but it is important to ensure the safety of our students. Please contact us via our email below or contact the school office for more information.

LPPS 2025 Colour Run – Fundraising in Full Swing!

Excitement is building as preparations for the LPPS 2025 Colour Run are well underway! The PFC team has been busy planning the course and keeping track of the incredible fundraising efforts happening across our school community. So far, we’ve raised over $2800 with class 229 currently leading the pack!

Class Leaderboard:

  1. 229
  2. F03
  3. 325

Individual Leaderboard:

  1. Ruby J from 229.
  2. Hadley W from F03.
  3. Nylah C from 229

There’s still plenty of time to get involved – fundraising will stay open until 12th June, one week after the event. Every dollar raised goes towards enhancing our STEM resources, directly benefiting our students.

Keep an eye on Compass and the PFC Facebook page for more information about event day schedules and updates. (If you haven’t already, come give our page a like! https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=langwarrin%20park%20primary%20school%20pfc )

An event like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers. If you can lend a hand on the day, we’d love to hear from you! Jobs include setup, pack down, running colour stations, assisting with obstacle supervision, and handing out refreshments. Sign up here: volunteersignup.org/AH9QQ

Let’s make this year’s Colour Run our most colourful (and successful!) yet!
