Here is the newsletter for week two of term two.
Election stall fundraiser 03 May
Please see the Parents and Friends page for details of our election stall fundraiser.
All slots on the roster have at least two volunteers, if you are available to also add your name, please do so. If you able to provide any cakes, biscuits etc. you can drop them off at school during the day on Friday or bring them to the stall on Saturday morning.
Smile Squad six month fluoride varnish visit
The Bendigo Health Smile Squad team are heading back to our school to complete six-monthly fluoride varnish applications for those students who have provided consent. Fluoride varnish applications help make sure students have the best chance of preventing tooth decay, so we’re excited Smile Squad are coming back.
Consent for this fluoride varnish application was provided when students’ initial consent forms were returned. However, if anyone has changed their mind and do not wish to receive a fluoride varnish application, they can contact Bendigo Health directly to let them know. Need dental care before the next Smile Squad visit? If any student requires emergency, urgent, or general dental care between our school visits, they can attend the Bendigo Health dental clinic. They will still be seen under Smile Squad at no cost. Please call 03 5454 7994 and ask for a Smile Squad appointment. Smile Squad is a Victorian Government programme that provides free dental care to all Victorian government primary and secondary school students.
Taradale PS Cross Country
We'll be running our Taradale PS Cross Country on Wednesday 7th May at the Taradale Mineral Springs Reserve for students in years two-six. We would love to have some parent helpers to direct children around the course - let Chris know if you can help
- 9.15am Grade 2/3's = 3 laps
- 9.30am Grade 4/6 Boys = 5 laps
- 9.50am Grade 4/6 Girls = 5 laps
- 9/10 yr = 4 laps .. 2km 🏃♀️
- 11/12/12 = 6 laps .. 3km 🏃♀️
Ribbons will be distributed 👏
We will take some zooper doopers for the students following the run.
We'll make a decision which students progress to Goldfields Division Cross Country on Friday 16th May at Wesley Hill following the school event.
Our track down at the Taradale Mineral Springs is perfect to train!
1 lap of the perimeter = 500m for anyone who would like to training outside of school times
Sport uniforms / soccer tops
Each year we give all students the opportunity to order sports shirts and shorts. We have found these to be very popular - not just with the students who attend interschool sport.
Soon I will send out an EOI for people to place an order if you are interested in a shirt. Below is a mock up of what the shirts look like
