Hello everyone,

Welcome back everyone! Such a short week this week that it feels like next week will be our 'proper' start to the term.

'Mob' time.

This year we have introduced a time each term when our students will be in multi-age groups collaborating on a range of different activities- no devices allowed! We held our first mob time on our last day of term 1. Our staff offered a range of activities including Chinese lanterns, paper planes, chalk drawings, dancing, Lego and board games.

Our aim in having 'mob' time is to help our students build connections with each other across the school. Students will be in the same multi-age groups next term when we run Mob time again on the last day of term 2.

District Athletics.

Bring your special person along for Brekkie Club and enjoy cheese toasties, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal, tea/coffee, backed beans/spaghetti.

Reminder - Maree Crabbe on pornography, yong people and sexuality.

This will be a great session to attend if you are wondering about how you can support your children to navigate the online world and all that they might find/be exposed to.

Maree Crabbe is the Director of the violence prevention initiative, It’s Time We Talked. Maree is Co-Producer and Co-Director of the documentary films Love and Sex in an Age of Pornography, broadcast on SBS in Australia and in 37 other countries, and The Porn Factor, broadcast on SBS. She is also author of In The Picture – a whole school resource to assist secondary schools to address the influence of explicit sexual imagery. Maree’s articles on young people, sexuality and pornography have been published in academic and news media.

Student free day 4 June.

Please take note that we will have a Student free day on Wednesday 4th June so teachers can work on Semester 1 student reports.

I will have the pleasure and privilege of attending the Bendigo ANZAC service with our School Captains tomorrow, and Kim Kirkpatrick will be attending the Eaglehawk service with our School Vice Captains. If you have an ANZAC service happening near you, I encourage you and your family to support it.
