Number & Algebra   I   Measurement & Geometry   I   Statistics & Probability

The children will continue to consolidate their understanding of numbers to 10 and extend this by working with numbers to 20. Their learning will include counting forwards and backwards from different starting points, matching numbers to collections and looking at number patterns. They will learn to describe the position of an object using ordinal number (1st, 2nd, 3rd), represent addition stories and learn to problem solve. Students will use different materials to model simple addition stories.

In measurement, students will continue learning about the days of the week, months of the year and seasons. They will learn how to measure, compare and order length and weight using informal units.
