Camp Weekaway 2025

Year 5 & 6 Camp

Last week, the Grade Five Sixes had a fantastic time at Camp Weekaway. Please read below to hear our students' thoughts!

"I enjoyed all the fun activities at camp. I loved archery because it was a new thing to do and experience. I also really loved the flying fox because it was really fast, and it was also really high up in the sky. At first, the flying fox was a little bit scary, but on my second go, it was fun. Overall, I would rate the activities 4.3 out of five!" Japnoor

"I enjoyed most of the activities at Camp Weekaway. My two favourite activities at the camp were the flying fox and the maze because both activities were energetic, fun, and enjoyable with friends. I would personally give 4.5 for the activities because the staff were really helpful if we needed help with anything. None of the activities were boring—they were all very fun." Tasvin

"The activities were fun. I liked the maze the best because we used lots of teamwork, and our team won. We also did a scavenger hunt and got the password after winning. I also enjoyed the flying fox. It was extremely fast, and the thrill of a perfect landing was cool."

"I really liked and enjoyed most of the activities. My favourite activities were the flying fox, archery, and the maze. For the maze, we needed to use teamwork. For archery, we needed good aim. For the flying fox, we just needed to be brave. It was a really fun experience. 

The staff at Camp Weekaway were friendly, helpful, and kind. Attending Weekaway Camp was a great experience. We enjoyed it a lot. We loved the food, activities, and the friendly staff. Overall, I rate the camp 4.7 out of five stars."

The activities were outstanding—really, really good. My favourites were the maze and the crate stacking. Every single one felt safe and fun. I rate the activities 4.5 out of 5.

The food was really tasty. For lunch, we had burgers on the first day and sausages on the second. Dinner was pizza on the first night and Bolognese on the second. The pizza was well-made, and the salads were healthy.

The staff were caring, kind, and positive. They made everything a surprise. I rate the staff 5 out of 5." Leo
