Year 1 and 2 Special Persons Morning

What a fantastic turnout we had for our Year 1 and 2 Special Grandparent/Person Morning! As part of our inquiry into the Big Question, How are families connected?, students welcomed someone special into their classroom to share their learning and find out more about their families.

In the lead-up to the event, students thoughtfully prepared questions and practised their interviewing and note-taking skills. On the day, our classrooms came alive with conversation, laughter, and a heartwarming sense of connection. Some special people commented on our gorgeous children, the delicious-looking lunch boxes, and the trip down memory lane. 

To finish, everyone gathered outside to enjoy a shared fruit snack under the sun (despite the chilly weather), which was a lovely opportunity to reflect on the morning and continue those special conversations.

A heartfelt thank you to all the grandparents, parents, and special guests who took time out of their day to join us. The students had a fantastic time connecting with their loved ones and learning more about the different ways families are linked and supported. Your presence made this event truly memorable!
