During Weeks 2 and 3, students were busy crafting beautiful gifts for their mothers and family members. They took great pride in their creations and were excited to present their handmade gifts on Mother's Day.
Students were inspired by Warhol's unique style and techniques by experimenting with bold colours and repetitive patterns. They utilised various resources, including print rollers, to apply vibrant colours, finishing with a contrasting handprint layered on top.
Inspired by Andy Warhol, students explored printmaking by creating their own unique artworks. They began by sketching an image onto printing foam, and the following week, they painted their foam with vibrant colours and transferred the design onto paper.
Motivated by Andy Warhol's signature repetitive patterns, students were tasked with selecting an everyday object to trace and repeat six times on their final piece. Instead of colouring in, they used coloured markers to outline the objects, effectively capturing Warhol's Pop Art style.
The Year 5 and 6 students selected an onomatopoeia to create a pop art-inspired artwork using collage. They chose images related to their onomatopoeia and incorporated them into bubble lettering. Now, they are working on the background of their collage, which features a newspaper collage and bubble wrap printing with paint.
