Parents, we're thrilled to introduce the Howie Games Education program, an innovative initiative that integrates sports and the arts whilst prioritising the development of social and emotional skills. This program offers a unique blend of engaging activities, interactive lessons, and multimedia resources. With a focus on 4 key mental health factors - Emotional Regulation, Anxiety Understanding, Social Awareness and Life Engagement. Students will learn from positive role model stories, sporting superstars such as Pat Cummins, Lauren Jackson, Steph Cately, Patty Mills, Mason Cox, Shaquille O'Neill and many more.
We are excited to introduce the Kids Help Line live video calls, tailored specifically for our Prep to Grade 2 students. Led by experienced child psychologists and educators, these interactive sessions provide a safe space for your children to express themselves, learn coping strategies, and develop resilience skills. Covering topics such as managing emotions, building friendships, and problem-solving, the live calls engage children through activities, stories, and discussions. We invite you to join us in empowering your young ones to navigate life's challenges with confidence and positivity through the Kids Help Line webinars. Prep to 2 students will participate in the sessions over weeks 5 and 7 of Term 2 to unpack the learning for the rest of the term.
The past fortnight we have been focussing on transitioning to spaces respectfully, particularly at assesmby. Well done to our STAR classes over the past 2 weeks.
A big shoutout to all our GOTCHA winners this week, keep up the positive behaviour everyone.
Congratulations Yellow House who are leading the leaders in Term 2.
Have a great fortnight!
Best, Benjamin Lannen
