YR 12VM Mothers 

Day Event

The year 12 VM class recently held a Mother’s Day morning tea in the school canteen, we had invited all the parents/guardians or motherly figures to come along with their year 7 child to share some food, and enjoy some raffle prizes for the motherly figures. 

The door raffle prizes were heavily organised by Tia and donated from a range of local businesses. 

We decided to hold the event to invite more parents/guardians into the school with their children and to show off some of the key skills we’ve been learning in VM. 

Some of the things we organised included: food, invitations, presents, raffle, decorations, speeches to be made etc.

The year 12VM class made a range of different foods like peppermint slice by Jaykeb D, scones and fairy bread from Tasha M, Apple raspberry crumble from Douglas C and a hedgehog slice by Phaedra T as well as a lot more of delicious food from other year 12’s. 

From the feedback we’ve received, most of these foods had been liked by a lot of parents and guardians some even going as far as asking people for the recipes.
