VOCABULARY
Inferring: An inference is an idea or conclusion that's drawn from evidence and reasoning. An inference is an educated guess.
Theme: Theme is the main idea/purpose, why the author wrote the text. Characters, plot, setting, conflict and resolution contribute to the theme of a text. It is possible for a text to have more than one theme.

Choose a book from your satchel or a book you have at home and use the evidence from within the text, such as the setting of the story, the events of the plot, and the characters' thoughts, words, actions and descriptions to infer the theme of the text.
