Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club runs for 3 mornings a week over near the gym area. It is staffed by some of our Education Support staff. We firmly believe that students need to have a good breakfast to be regulated and focussed int e classroom. We are always looking for more volunteers so if you think you could help from 8.25am please just contact Naomi Mc Master at school. We offer fruit , milk and toast. We are aware of allergies alerted on student files. It is a ‘grab and go’ set up so we can cater for lots of students to have a healthy snack before class.

Fruit bowls are a huge success in the classroom. We have more than tripled our weekly fruit order this term. It’s great to see so many students enjoying the fruit.

Free Eye Tests at LPPS

The school is pleased to announce that the Student Eyecare Program will be running at the school in  late Term 2 and early Term 3, 2024.  An optometrist will be onsite during school hours to provide students with a free comprehensive eye examination that is covered through Medicare Australia. 1 in 6 students have eye conditions that go undetected. This is due to the high level of visual demand on their eyes from books, laptops, tablets and smartphones. Every student will receive a full report about their eye health and a prescription will be provided if glasses are required. The prescription can be taken to any optical store to get the glasses made. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity.  To register, please click on the following link: https://forms.gle/qfQvHr76vjEv3zRY8

On-site Psychologist

We have private practitioner, psychologist Meaghan Morley, working out of our school one day a week.  We understand how difficult it is to get students to appointments out of school hours, and the long waiting lists people face. Thus, we feel very fortunate that we are able to offer you this service.  Meaghan completes a range of assessments including cognitive, behavioural and educational at a competitive cost.  Prices start at $500. A copy of the fees available upon request.  If you would like more information, please speak with Luana Lane in the Student Support Office.
