Student Leaders Report

Dear Families and students

Welcome back to week five!

On Monday the 6th of May we had a Mother’s Day stall were students got the opportunity to buy their female role models a lovely gift for Mother’s Day. On Friday the 10th May, PCA held our Muffins with Mums breakfast. It was a huge success and it was great to see so many families joining us. Classrooms were also open for some fun Mother’s Day activities.

We would like to remind everyone about our School Mobile Phone Policy. Students place their phones at the office before school and come and collect them after school. They should never be left in bags during school hours.

We also celebrated our ES staff members on the 16th of May. Every student created a colourful hand with messages of thanks to all our ES staff. They also enjoyed a very special lunch.

Next week we have two exciting things coming up, including:

  • National Simultaneous Storytime on the 22nd of May We will be listening to the story called ‘Bowerbird Blues’ by Aura Parker. This picture book stars a beautiful bowerbird in search for BLUE! It’s a moving story of longing and connection, that unfolds as the bowerbird’s search sends him soaring across the sea, sky and city. he swoops and snatches vibrant treasures for his collection, and soon his bower - a mix of natural and unnatural objects.
  • Prep Information Session/evening at 6pm on the 29th of May.

We hope you have a fun and safe weekend. Also a reminder that you can bring in cans and bottles from home if you wish for our school’s recycling project.

Thank you

From the School Captains
