Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden
This week at Garden Club we talked about why we need good bugs and which plants will attract them to our garden. We had lots of messy fun making seed spheres with flour, soil, seeds and water.
The children really enjoyed the process and were thrilled to hear that these spheres can be thrown into the garden for the rain to wash in. Some spheres went home and others landed in our garden beds. In months to come many different herbs and flowers will emerge including dill, calendula, coriander, Queen Anne's Lace, clover, baby's breath and many more.
Some of the beneficial insects we identified were ladybirds, butterflies and bees, can you think of any we missed?
