Celebrating Father Joe

~ 50 Years as a Priest ~

Over the weekend Father Joe celebrated his GOLDEN JUBILEE Anniversary of 50 years as a Priest.

Our photobook and banner featured well in the Church with many lovely compliments to the students.

On Saturday night, Father Joe wore the vestment he had on for his ordination and shared some beautiful memories and gifts from his ordination and then on Sunday a lovely Mass was celebrated with the 8 couples who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

It was a weekend full of lovely fond memories celebrated with friends and family.

Thank you for your support and assistance in all the organisation for the Assembly gathering last Wednesday and all the students work.

WHOLE SCHOOL GIFT PRESENTATION

 FOR FATHER JOE

Last Wednesday we gathered as a whole school community in our courtyard to acknowledge Father Joe’s 50 years as a priest and present him with our gift from the students. It was a very moving tribute to Father Joe, who has been ministering here in Shepparton for the last 12 years. The afternoon was full of song, prayer and scripture topped off with a Blessing from the staff and students for Fr Joe.

The students presented Father Joe with a PHOTOBOOK which was a compilation of beautiful illustrations, prayers and special messages from the students themselves.  Father Joe was very grateful to the students for all their work and the teachers for their gift too.  Father Joe spoke about the calling he received from God when he was a teenager which led him to becoming a priest of 50 years.

Thank you Father Joe, and congratulations on 50 years of dedicated service and your spiritual leadership of Priesthood.  Your unwavering faith, compassion and guidance have touched countless lives.

Blessings and gratitude on this special milestone!
