ALL WELCOME – WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8:30am for a Traditional Service and 10:00am for a more Contemporary service with Godly Play on offer for primary school aged children. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services. On the first Sunday of the month, we join together in one service, with a blended style of worship.  This means that this Sunday, 2 June, there will be one service at 9.30am.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Playgroup @ St Paul is on each Tuesday during term time in the Hall for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver.  Playgroup runs from 9:00-10:30am, but we welcome people anytime from 8:30am onwards to help set up. Join us for a coffee, playtime, story time and songs from 9:00-10:30am each week during school terms. Cost is $2 per family.

This week, we made dot painting Australian animals as we looked at the book ‘Splosh for the Billabong’ by Ros Moriarty and sang some of the songs from ‘The Playgroup Top Ten’ including the very catchy ‘Barramundi Song’.

Next week we will be looking at colours and rainbows.

For more information about anything playgroup related contact Kylie Koelman in the Church Office on 8262 4690 or email at office@stpaul-church.org.au

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

This week the Bible reading talks about the importance of rest.  In the Bible, the Sabbath is the first day of the week, where people rested from their work. While physical rest is important, for Christians, spending time with God is also important.  How do you like to spend time with God?  There are many ways in which people can do this. Ideas include prayer and devotion, reading or listening to the Bible, journalling, listening to worship music and singing, journalling, appreciating God through nature, making crafts that represent your faith such as faith-based colouring books or activities that you’re your faith in tangible ways such as caring for and supporting others.  I wonder what creative ways you may choose to spend time with God.

Mealtime Prayer:

Our hands we fold, our heads we bow. For food and drink, we thank God now.  Amen.

Prayer:

We thank you, heavenly Father, that all good gifts come from you. Help us to be compassionate like Jesus and always ready to help others in need. Amen.

Blessing:

(Child’s name) Lord, help us to find our rest in you.  Amen.
