Principal's Message

Brock Wilson

Message from Teresa Stone

Dear Parents and friends,

I am writing to let you know that I am retiring from the education department and finishing my tenure at Roxburgh homestead Primary school. I have been in education for nearly 40 years, 20 of those as a Principal.  I have many things I am proud of, however it is always the children, families and teachers that hold a place in my heart.

I want to thank you for your fantastic support over the past five years. We started together under the extreme circumstances of COVID and my first day with you was in lockdown.  However we steered our way through this together and your support during this time meant so much to me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, working with all the children, staff and families of RHPS and will miss you all very much. We have been able to share and celebrate our achievements and openly discuss the goals and hopes we have for kids and our community.  Kids have always come first, in our partnership!

I wish you all the success for the future.  For myself, I will be travelling and spending time with my family.  Thankyou all for sharing your learning journey with me. With “Hearts and Hands Together”, we have made a difference for all.

Farwell, Teresa

On behalf of the Roxburgh Homestead Primary School community, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Teresa for all her contributions over the past five years. I’m sure she will look back on her time with you all fondly and we wish her the best for the next chapter in her life.

Acting Principal Role

With the news of Teresa’s retirement, I can also announce that my Acting Principal tenure has now been extended to the end of Term 3. During this time, there will be a process to appoint a new substantiative (permanent) principal.

Eid Al-Adha

To the members of school community who celebrate, we would like to extend our warmest wishes to all those observing Eid al-Adha.

This special occasion is a time of reflection, generosity, and connection with loved ones. May it bring peace, joy, and a sense of unity to all who celebrate.

Wishing you and your families a safe and meaningful Eid.

Eid Mubarak!

Long Weekend

A reminder that the King’s Birthday public holiday is on Monday, so there will be no school. We look forward to reconnecting with you when all students resume on Tuesday the 10th of June.

Attitudes to School Survey

Finally, all students in Grades 4-6 will have an opportunity to provide feedback about their learning experiences in the Attitudes to School Survey next week. This survey is completed by students at all schools across the government education system and provides us with data that helps us better understand the student experiences within our school. If you do not wish for your child to complete this survey, please let our office staff know.
