From the Classroom

Performing Arts

In Foundation students have been listening to the difference between high and low sounds. They used their hands to show when they hear a high or low sound. They also played drums to the low sounds and the triangle to the high sounds.

Mandarin

In the Mandarin class, Year 1&2 students learned about the body parts. They played games and sang a song to practise their listening and speaking. They also started a matching activity to match the Chinese words with the pictures of the body parts.

Physical Education

Year 3 and 4 students have been engaging in our Athletics unit and been learning about the different track and field events. This week, they participated in hurdles and learnt the correct technique.

Visual Arts

Year 4, 5 and 6 students have been learning about warm and cool colours through the creation of an artwork inspired by practising Australian artist, Julie Ryder. They are using a multimedia approach to create a colourful composition including flowers and butterflies.
