Fruit Program

At the start of the term we launched a fruit program in our school.

We started the new program with the help of a program called the "Schools Breakfast Club" where we are getting an ongoing donation of fruits provided to the school. As such we have decided that we would like to provide fruits for all classes, this includes apples, pears and carrots currently.

This is not to replace brain food or lunches provided by families, but rather to provide students the opportunity to have extra foods when needed. This might be if they missed breakfast in the morning and would like to grab something before class, they are still hungry after lunch or they might like to eat an apple on the way home. Whatever they would like it for, it is there for them.

The fruit will be available in the students' classrooms.

This program has been running since the start of the term and so far has been successful. We ask all families to continue to send nutritious and filling lunches for your students but hope that our program helps to grow our students' minds positively when they need something extra.
