Grade 6 News

Our Year 6 students have been engaging in a rich unit of work centered around the mentor text Us Mob Walawurru

Through this unit, they have explored the history and culture of First Nations Australians and examined the significance and impact of the 1967 Referendum.

In addition, students have enthusiastically begun their interschool sports program. They’ve made a fantastic start, demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong commitment to developing their skills.

We’re also excited to remind families that the Year 6 camp at ADANAC is fast approaching, running from 26th to 28th May

As the weather can be quite chilly and unpredictable, please ensure your child is well-prepared. Pack plenty of warm clothing, including layers, a waterproof jacket, and multiple spare sets of clothes in case of wet weather.

Don’t forget essentials like a hat, gloves, and sturdy footwear to help them stay comfortable and enjoy all the activities planned.
