Assistant Principal's News

Josie Burt

What a wonderful term of learning and experiences we have had already.

Swimming Program

I am looking forward to co-ordinating the Swimming Program for our Foundation-Year4 students in the last two weeks of term at the Monash Aquatic Recreation Centre. If you have not paid and given consent through Compass, I encourage you to take up this opportunity. With our Government Water Safety Grant, we have been able to cost the program at under $9.30 per lesson - including the bus hire! If you still have School Saver Bonus funds they can be applied to this event as well.

Smile Squad

We have the free dental check by Smile Squad happening next week. We currently have 84 students registered to take advantage of this great program. If you haven't registered and would like to please scan the QR code to complete an online registration.

Pre-service Teachers

We currently have two wonderful pre-service teachers completing placement with us as part of their 4th year university course requirements. Aimee (Foundation A) and Tina (1/2C) are both doing a fantastic job, they have seamlessly transitioned into taking full control of the class and are preparing some engaging and thought provoking lessons. Tina and Aimee have also been part of our staff since last term in the Tutor Learning Initiative, supporting many of our students to close learning gaps that have been identified by the classroom teachers. They will return to this role once their placements are completed.

Book Fair

We are excited to have the book fair coming to CNPS from the 10th to the 13th of June. Books will be available to purchase in the Huddle before school, 8.30-9.00am and after school 3.15-4.00pm. We welcome cash or card sales. There will be a great selection of books and bargain bundles to buy. CNPS receives credits to spend on school resources as an incentive to host Book Fair.
