From the Principal

In recent weeks, items such as poppits, squishies, and Nee Dohs have become increasingly popular among students. While these tools can play an important role for some children as part of their Personalised Learning Plan (PLP), we are noticing that for many others they are being brought to school as toys rather than purposeful learning supports. This has led to distractions in the classroom and, at times, unnecessary disagreements between students.

We kindly ask for the support of families in ensuring that these items are not brought to school unless they are specifically required for your child’s learning and have been discussed with their classroom teacher. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work together to maintain a focused and positive learning environment for all students.

We would also like to remind families that our Cross-Country event will be held this week. While we will endeavour to provide approximate timings, please note that exact schedules cannot be guaranteed, as race durations will vary depending on student performance on the day. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

Finally, we extend our sincere thanks to all families who attended the Mother’s Day morning tea on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many members of our community come together, and we truly value these opportunities to connect and celebrate. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and we are grateful to be part of such a supportive and engaged school community.
