Secondhand Uniform Shop

The Parents' & Friends' Secondhand Uniform Shop will be open Wednesdays from 5pm - 6pm in Term 1, commencing 28 February.

Tuck Shop

Sally and Liz continue to provide delicious and nutritious food in the Tuck Shop. We encourage any parents who may have an hour or two spare on Monday or Tuesday to pop in and assist Sally (these are Liz’s days off).

Welcome Drinks

The annual Welcome Drinks were held on an idyllic evening on Friday 9 February. It was wonderful to meet so many new parents and welcome them to the school community. Thank you to students, staff and parents that supported this event and created a lovely evening for all in attendance. 

Swimming Sports BBQs

We would like to thank all parents who were able to assist with the Senior and Junior School Swimming BBQ’s last week. It was most appreciated by students and staff! We will also be running these at the Junior (8/3) and Senior (15/3) School Athletics carnivals - if any parents are interested in assisting for an hour or can provide cupcakes, please contact Kate Pye on 0408 391 172 or your class representative via WhatsApp.

P&F committees - fo consideration

Thank you to those who joined us for our very first P&F meeting for the year. Here we discussed the need for sub committees to be created to share the energy around! Some of those suggested were for:

• Secondhand uniforms/books
• Christmas cakes
• Catering
• Special events

If you feel you have some energy and/or expertise in any of these areas and would like to get involved in small or large ways - your enthusiasm will be harnessed! Also, if you have other suggestions for sub-committees, please let  us know.  All suggestions are appreciated. 

P&F fundraising goes towards funding for structural or supplementary supportive purchases at the school. Last year, we purchased a rowing boat for the College Rowing Club senior boys crew while also raising money for the myPEC outdoor landscaping project. This is a considerable project, and we always welcome suggestions as to how fundraising can be focused. The gorgeous recipe book ‘More Food with Friends’ continues to be a solid income source as well as our Christmas cakes, the Tuck Shop, BBQs and second-hand uniform sales. Each of these areas would benefit from a smaller group of people prepared to focus predominantly on one event. Please email us if you have any questions or suggestions for the sub committees.

 P&F AGM - 23 April at 6pm

Our next meeting will be the AGM in Term 2.  All P&F Executive positions will be open for nominations and we are seeking expressions of interest. Please feel free to direct any questions about the executive committee roles to any of the current members (below) or to Alana Brown at the Senior School.

We invite all parents to join us for the AGM, along with Principal Michael Horne and Head of Junior School Stephen Nelson, to gain valuable insights to the year ahead, including the myPEC outdoor project.
