VOCABULARY

Inference: An educated guess using picture and or text clues and prior knowledge. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have your child read a fiction ‘dot book’ from their blue satchel or a picture story book from home.

Encourage them to infer character feelings from pictures.

Your child may also like to write down questions they have as they read each page and make an inference for any questions that can’t be answered directly within the text.
