P Day

Our Prep students celebrated 'P' Day this week. Students were very excited to be showing off their costumes including princesses, pirates, policeman, painters, plants and more!

Parent Teacher Progress Interviews

The Term 1 Parent Teacher Progress Interviews commence over two days: Thursday 29 February and Tuesday 5 March. We welcome parents and carers to school to meet their child's teacher/s and be updated about their child's academic progress so far this year.

School Swimming

To support schools to implement water safety and learn to swim programs, the Department of Education has developed the water safety and swimming education program. All resources are based on current water safety and learn to swim best practice and are aligned to the:

national swimming and water safety framework
Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education (HPE) achievement standards and content descriptions.

Our Year 4, 5 and 6 students begin their School Swimming Program next week. As usual, information and consent forms have been sent via QParents.

NAPLAN

Our Year 3 and 5 students will take part in National Testing for reading, spelling, grammar, writing and numeracy from the 13 March to 21 March.

NAPLAN is just one aspect of a school’s assessment and reporting process. It does not replace ongoing assessments made by teachers about student performance, but it can provide teachers with additional information about students’ educational progress.

If you have any questions about your NAPLAN testing, please direct them to your child's classroom teacher.

Look Before You Lock  is an important reminder to routinely check that no child is left unattended in a vehicle. Get in the habit of checking your backseat every time you get out of the car. Check even if you know your child is not with you. This will help make Look Before You Lock part of your normal routine. This simple action can save a child’s life.
