I am excited by the opportunity to continue supporting the school as a member of the school council, having been on the council for the past 4 years and enjoyed every moment. In my role as convener of the Buildings & Grounds sub-committee, we have been able to make tangible differences to the school environment, enhancing the experience of every student, staff member and the wider school community. Parent to Eadie in grade 4 and Percy in grade 1, both in the Victorian curriculum. We live locally, 250 meters from the school. Owner of a video and animation company, creating commercial and corporate content. A passionate AFL fan, being a 17 year member of the Carlton Football Club. Lifelong fan too of round-ball football, I am captain and coordinator of a social league futsal team. I am eager to continue striving to make CJC the best school for all our children.

DANIEL BLESLEY

My name is Dan Besley and I have been part of the CJC community since 2021. Both our daughters – Sophie in grade 3 and Abby in grade 1 - love the school and the activities that are on offer, including the Hebrew Immersion Program and various EFM after school activities. My wife and I have always tried to contribute to the school culture and fundraising where we can, and have enjoyed meeting other families this way. I feel that the time is right for me to make more of a contribution through the school council. I currently work for Melbourne Water in asset management, volunteer for hockey coaching on weekends where I get to watch both Abby and Sophie develop a love for the sport. I enjoy collecting new hobbies – which currently include playing golf, roasting my own coffee and barbequing.

LOTTI STEIN

My name is Lotti Stein and I have been a parent at CJC for one year now. My passion and career have been within disability & health. Currently I work as a Grade 2 Allied Health Leisure Therapist within the public hospital system which I have just entered my 10th year of with my employer Austin Health. I am the parent of a child that requires adjustments to enable equity and to thrive in their education. I have maintained an affirming and human rights based approach to disability in society, there are barriers to equity and inclusion and I keep abreast of government inquiries, new approaches and processes. Inclusion is more than physical inclusion (ramps). My specialty is neurodivergence, but I work with people across all aspects of disability - spinal cord injury, amputations, strokes, cognitive disability and across all life intersections. I believe the school needs a parent voice around disability, access, inclusion and wellbeing and I would like to put my hand up. I am a non-binary, working single parent who spends a lot of time advocating and educating just around my child's equity & access. For all of our children to thrive, we need all of us to want that and leave no one behind. Thank you for your consideration
