International Women's Day

Our Year 12 Vocational Major students have been learning about the role of social awareness in creating a more inclusive and respectful society for Unit 3 of Personal Development Skills.

They demonstrated their understanding and appreciation by cooking a wonderful lunch for the Mazenod College staff on International Women’s Day. They honoured the amazing women in our Mazenod community with their delicious dishes and their thoughtful gestures. We stand with all women who face challenges and barriers in their lives, and we express our gratitude for the women who inspire us every day 💕

Senior Drama Excursion

On Thursday March 7th the Year 11 & 12 Drama classes travelled across to the Fairfield amphitheatre where they enjoyed a performance of Hamlet by Bendigo theatre group Sheoak Productions. This was not a traditional production of the Shakespeare classic, but an adaptation in the style of Italian Comedy known as commedia Dell’Arte. Sitting outside on the stone steps of the amphitheatre, for many of the students this was a first experience of al fresco theatre! A great time was had by all and hopefully this will lead to these young men experiencing many more theatre productions in the future

Junior School Leadership Induction

The Junior School leaders were inducted into their leadership role by exploring the qualities of effective and genuine leadership with real outcomes. The students worked in small groups and had discussions facilitated by Junior prefects to brainstorm their priorities in leadership for this year within their Pastoral Groups as well as more broadly as a team. Part of this involved discussing possible barriers to their success and strategies to ensure their outcomes could be achieved.
