Mission Action Day [MAD] is a highly anticipated celebration on the college calendar. This year it extends over the month of March as March MADness, culminating in a cross-country run and activity day on the final day of Term 1.
The event has a serious purpose in its aim to raise awareness and funds to support the work of the Oblate Missions as they continue to serve the needy in marginalised communities worldwide. Organised by the senior student leadership team; the whole school community comes together for a day of activities, games, food stalls and competitions.
For some students (and staff) it’s an opportunity to show off their creativity and talent as they perform in the Mazenod has Talent Showcase. It’s amazing to see talent come forward from sometimes the most unexpected individuals and groups.
Photos from the 2001 Mission Action Day show that MAD is traditionally a day of community and Mazenod memories.
