I am always looking for new recipes to cook at home with my family and share with my friends. If you have a great recipe please email it to me to share in the next newsletter (inger.furlong@education.vic.gov.au). I will definitely be trying Mila's Easy Choc Chip Biscuits. They sound delicious!
Easy Choc Chip Biscuits
From Mila (Kiki's mum in Prep C)
Ingredients
2 cups of almond flour
1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon of baking soda
Small handful dark chocolate chips (optional)
Procedure
Put all the ingredients in a bowl, and mix until you get a dough that can be made into a ball. Make biscuit shapes (flat and round) and put them on a baking tray with a silicon mat (or baking paper) and cook on 175 degrees for 20- 25 mins, until golden brown.
Notes
These are gluten free, high in fat but low in carbs. Almonds have vitamin E and magnesian and are full of fibre. They are not too sweet and you can put less or more maple syrup as desired. Such a wonderful way to get nuts in a kids diet.
