PFA News

We hope you had a fantastic Christmas and Summer break. The PFA have already been busy organising an amazing year ahead for the community and a meeting was held last Wednesday to discuss upcoming events.

The Year 1 bake sale last Friday was a huge success, raising $271.00 for all their work! The money raised will now be allocated to the class to choose how to spend the funds on something for the school.

Next Friday, the Year 2 classes will be in charge of the bake sale. Please bring some store-bought or homemade treats for an after-school snack. All items are praised at  $1. Please speak to someone from the PFA if you can volunteer your time to help set up and/or run the store. (If making homemade goods, please list all used ingredients)

A topic of discussion in the PFA meeting last week was to organise a parent representative for each year level. You will be the point of call for your child’s year level when it comes to important events throughout the year, i.e., Bake sale / Spring Fair / Easter Raffle etc.

Please speak to someone in the PFA or email us on pfa@hcnewgisborne.catholic.edu.au if you think this is something you would be interested in.

The Easter Raffle is a fundraiser the PFA organises annually. More information to come in the coming weeks in the lead-up to the end of term.

The door is always open for new parents to join the PFA. Not only is it a rewarding experience, but a great way to feel part of the Holy Cross community. We have a lot coming up this year, so any extra hands will be welcomed warmly.

Warm Regards
