Weeks 5–6: Confidence and Coping
Two of the most important skills for navigating school are confidence and the ability to cope when things get difficult. This fortnight, students explored what real confidence looks like and began building their personal coping toolkit.
Highlights included the confidence ladder — setting small, achievable challenges that build real confidence — breathing and calming strategies, and identifying which strategies work best for each student.
At home: Ask your child what their go-to strategy is when they feel overwhelmed, and what is one thing they’ve been nervous to try but want to give a go.
