Snapshots from the week

The Royal Family Dance Class
Our students had the incredible opportunity to learn from The Royal Family — world-renowned dancers whose performances have been featured in productions with over 10 billion views, including the Grammys, Super Bowl Halftime Shows, American Idol, Savage Fenty and more.
Having worked alongside global artists such as Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo, their visit brought world-class talent, energy and inspiration directly to our students through an unforgettable dance workshop.
A huge thank you to The Royal Family for sharing their passion, creativity and expertise with our school community! 💃🕺
Arcare Seven Hills – Instrumental Music
In week five our instrumental music students performed for the residents of Arcare at Seven Hills. The students performed a variety of genres of music from Mozart to ABBA which had everyone singing along!
Aviation Australia
The 2026 Boeing team visited Aviation Australia at Brisbane Airport on Wednesday. The students were able to see firsthand how a commercial plane operates and measured its components to gain insights to implement in their ongoing project of designing a commercially viable supersonic aircraft.
The excursion offered a modern, firsthand experience into how passengers, cabin crew, pilots and ground crew operate around aircraft. It gave them a clear understanding of the fuel systems and avionics components while providing information on the passenger experience standards. Thanks to Mr Barraud and Mr Miles for supporting this visit.

Lunch at Parliament House
It was a privilege to join Member for Bulimba, Di Farmer, at Parliament House for a Student Leadership Lunch with our outstanding student leaders.
Students had the opportunity to reflect on their leadership journeys, discuss the importance of leaving a meaningful leadership legacy, and share their aspirations for the future. Their insights and passion for making a difference were truly impressive.
A special highlight of the day was the chance to meet with the Minister for Education and the Arts, John-Paul Langbroek, where our students proudly spoke about what it means to be a student leader in an wonderful state high school.
Experiences like this are invaluable in shaping confident, thoughtful, and future-focused leaders. I am incredibly proud of the way our students represented themselves and our school.

Say Cheese!
7I is currently participating in the Australian Mathematics' Trust Maths Challenge. Maths Challenge aims to foster students’ understanding of the power of mathematics and the joy of mathematical problem solving.
Students have been working through the six problems, which draw together different aspects of the curriculum and encourage them to think outside the box.
