PREP

FROM THE CLASSROOM
This week the Prep students have been exploring all the ways we can care for our environment during Investigations.
In Maths, we have been learning how to name and represent numbers from 11–20 through hands-on activities.
During Writing, we shared our wonderful and creative ideas as we began innovating our procedural text ‘Mud Pies’.
The Preps finished the week by celebrating Milo’s birthday with fun activities during Investigations and a pyjama party!
“I can care for our classroom by cleaning up.” – Sadie, Prep C

REMINDERS
Myuna Farm Excursion
In Term 3, the Preps will be going on an excursion to Myuna Farm. This event is now live on Compass. To help us plan for the excursion, please provide consent for your child as soon as possible. Payment and consent for this event close on Friday 26 June. If your child is unable to attend, please decline the event on Compass.
Reader Bags & Home Reading Journals
A reminder to make sure your child is bringing their reader bag to school each day. Inside should be a small reader book, take-home journal and M100 Word pouch. Students will be able to take a new reader book each day if the previous one has been returned. They also need to have their book bag to be able to borrow books from the Library.
Digital Technology Forms
We have started using our iPads this term. If you have not yet completed and returned your child’s permission form to school, please do so as soon as possible. Children will not be allowed to use the iPads until this is done.
Compass Permissions
Please ensure you follow the permission prompts on Compass. This includes walking permission and permission for your child’s photo to be taken and published in the newsletter or on social media. If you need assistance with this, please contact your child’s teacher.
Tissue Box Donations
As the weather is getting colder, we are finding classroom supplies of tissues are beginning to run low. We are kindly asking families who are able to donate a box of tissues to help replenish these supplies.
