Student voice matters!

Wear it Purple!
Wear It Purple Daywill be marked on August 29, with all students invited to add a dash of purple to their school uniform on the day!
There will be a number of activities for students to participate in at lunchtime, and we look forward to having some fun!
Pride Mural
The SRC have put great thought into the upcoming Pride Mural project. A subcommittee has worked to set parameters for the project, and to ensure that it will represent what our community would like to see reflected in the mural.
Students have been invited to submit designs for the project, due by August 18 2025. Staff and Students will then vote for a preferred design, after which we can gather materials and start painting!
Strathmore SRC Conference
SRC members are thrilled to have been invited to another interschool Student Forum, this time hosted by Strathmore Secondary College. This meeting will serve as a follow up session for the students from the schools who attended the successful conference at BSC earlier this year.
This time, we are extending the invitation to our Year 11 SRC members, to give them the opportunity and experience in preparation for 2026 leadership roles.
Sharing student experiences and ideas between schools has provided really valuable interschool interactions, and it is great to see other school's see the value of these events.
BSC Student Forums
BSC Student Forums will be conducted in Week 5, and the information and feedback we gather may also inform our discussions at the Strathmore SRC conference.
These forums are a great way to gauge and amplify student voice here at BSC on a range of topics. This year, feedback has prompted specific improvements and changes at BSC, as well as initiated the consideration of other ideas that may need some extra time and organisation to implement.
We encourage all students to participate - you are the voice of the future!
