 🎉📚 Welcome Back to Term 3! 🌟📝

We hope all of our families enjoyed a refreshing break, however you spent it.

Although Term 3 is a short one with just 9 weeks, it promises to be full of rich learning and exciting opportunities!

Our students are beginning a new Science unit this term, filled with exploration, investigation and creativity. Their learning will lead into a Science Fair, where they will proudly share their projects with the wider school community.

After the wonderful success of last term’s Student Market, we’re looking forward to seeing the same level of enthusiasm and engagement as students dive into the world of science.

👨‍🏫👩‍🏫 Parent Teacher Interviews– Mon 28 July 📚🗓️

Our Parent Teacher Interviews will take place next Monday, 28 July. Details regarding bookings were sent via Operoo at the end of Term 2, along with a form to indicate if your child will require supervision during the afternoon.

We kindly ask that, where possible, families collect their children at 1:30 PM to allow teachers time to prepare for a 2:00 PM start to interviews.

Families are welcome to decide whether they’d like their child to attend the interview. This is a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s Semester 1 report, which was made available through nForma, and to set goals for the term ahead.

We value this time to connect and work in partnership with families to support every child’s learning and growth. 🤝✨

🌅🎒 New Morning Routine at St Mary’s 🏫😊

Thank you to our students and families for your support during the trial of our new morning routine at the end of last term—it was a great success!

As a reminder, students may arrive from 8:30 AM and are welcome to enjoy 15 minutes of supervised play in the courtyard and playground before the school day officially begins.

When arriving, students are asked to place their school bags on the basketball court in their class line order, then they are free to play until the music signals line-up time at 8:45 AM.

Students can stand or sit calmly while lining up. On most mornings, classes will move straight into learning from here. Some mornings may include school announcements, and on Fridays, we’ll kickstart the day with some fun fitness activities such as dancing, games, or simple exercises.

This new routine supports a positive and settled start to the day, helping students connect, move their bodies, and get ready for learning!

Have a great first week of Term!
