Executive Principal

Term 3 is flying by, and it’s hard to believe we’re already in Week 6. It has been a busy and productive term so far, and the momentum is set to continue with a range of important events and opportunities for our students over the coming weeks.
This week, our Year 10 students are undertaking their Senior Education and Training (SET) Plan interviews. These individual meetings play a key role in helping students make informed decisions about their future pathways, whether they choose further education, training or employment. We appreciate the involvement of our staff and families in supporting these meaningful conversations.
We continue to see outstanding achievements across our school, with the GCSS Sports Cluster Day finals taking place shortly – a highlight for many of our talented athletes. Our Junior Secondary students will also be recognised at the upcoming Year 8 and 9 Optima Assembly, where we celebrate academic effort and excellence.
In addition, please check out our socials for the latest sports (netball, soccer and surfing success) and performing arts results which includes outstanding Eisteddfod success in ensembles, dance and instrumental music.
This Friday, we are looking forward to welcoming guests to our next Alliance Business Networking Breakfast. These events continue to be a great success, offering opportunities for connection, learning and inspiration within our PBC community. Tickets are available here.
Next week, our Senior School Music Showcase will take place, highlighting the incredible skills and creativity of our Music Excellence students. And in Week 9, our Year 9 students will step into the world of work for their work experience program – an invaluable chance to explore future career interests and build confidence in real-world settings.
Our Year 12 students are preparing to sit their mock external assessments. This is a significant milestone in their final year of schooling and provides valuable practice ahead of their final exams in Term 4. We wish them all the very best as they approach this next phase with focus and determination.
Thank you once again to all our parents and carers for your continued support and involvement in your child’s education. We’re looking forward to the remainder of the term, working in partnership to ensure every student is inspired to achieve their personal best.
