Year 10 & 11 – Careers Information
Year 11 students have completed their Career Action Plan – I Decide, and year 10 students have completed their Career Action Plan - I Plan. Any student who did not complete a Career Action Plan please see Mrs. Crawley in C3s. During this year, students are beginning to decide which pathway they would like to follow and are researching pre-requisite requirements such as subjects, folios, auditions and interviews etc. Year 10 and 11 students are encouraged to attend Open Days for universities and TAFE institutes to assist with their course preferences.
Year 10 Work Experience
We are excited for students to further their learning by participating in our Work Experience Program 2025. It is compulsory for all year 10 students to complete Work Experience between Monday 15th September - Friday 19th September (excluding their selected time Tuesday, 16th September for Parent/ Teacher Conferences). Students with a work experience arrangement will not be required onsite at the College during this week but are expected to be out and on placement within a business, their hours and days to be self-driven and negotiated with their host employers. Well done to all the students who have submitted their arrangement by the due date. It’s been fantastic to see the meaningful opportunities you have all been able to seek out and arrange and you should be proud of your strong organisational efforts. If you have not organised your work experience yet we would encourage you to remain active in your endeavours to secure a placement and pursue the support of your family and Home Group teachers in trying to find an opportunity as soon as possible. For more information about the work experience program please contact Mrs McKeon, our Work Experience Coordinator, and the Careers team on 8768 1015.
CONGRATULATIONS TO CHARLOTTE WARD YEAR 10 for being accepted into, and participating in, the Academy of Interactive Entertainment’s School Work Experience Program. Well done on seeking out this fantastic opportunity, putting yourself out there and representing the school in such a positive manner.
Year 9 Morrisby ‘My Career Insights’ Program
Congratulations to all the students who have completed their Morrisby Profile and follow up interview. 250+ Year 9 students participated in the individual sessions facilitated by practitioners from the Australian Centre for Careers Education and Morrisby Career Insights Program. For the students who were absent during the last week of Term 2 or missed their appointment, the Careers team will be reaching out later this year with additional opportunities to discuss your results. In the meantime, all students should have received a digital copy of their profile results.

Vocational Education and Training (VET)
VET in 2026
All senior students have now concluded their course counselling sessions and where required, selected a VET (Certificate II or III course in schools) as part of their educational/year level program. To be enrolled in a VET course by the school, all students must have a USI number. Please provide this number to Amanda Komen at Amanda.Komen@education.vic.gov.au as soon as possible, so that every effort can be made to secure your child’s place in their preferred course.
