Sydney Catholic Schools Parent Conference - Friday 29th August 2025

This year for the first time, Sydney Catholic Schools are hosting a Parent Conference at Revesby Workers Club on Friday 29th August 2025 from 9:30am.  The theme is A future full of Hope - designed to support, equip and inspire confident parenting. It is a whole day event and will include Key Note Speakers and Workshops. Some of the speakers will include:

 

David Bulmer – Parenting and Educating in the Age of AI

Karen Doyle – Beyond the Buzzwords: Teaching Consent Through the Lens of Faith

Dan Hardie – Anxiety, Stress and Mental Health: How to Raise a Healthy Teen in 2025

Judy Bowe MGL – Guided Creative Prayer Experience

Stephen Said – Raising Resilience: Tackling Bullying and Cyberbullying Together

 

I am looking for three parents to attend this day with me. We will  meet outside Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, then travel via light rail and train to Revesby. Term 3 in class Parent / Student SPaR - The Year of Jubilee

In class Parent/Student SPaR’s return this term with the theme of the Year of Jubilee. We will unpack the Jubilee logo and learn about pilgrimage before completing a sacramental craft. The timetable for each class is below. We hope to welcome many parents who may be available to join us.

Our Term 3 Family Mass is fast approaching on Saturday 16th August 2025 at 5:30pm.

100 days of Kindergarten

On Friday 8th August 2025, we will celebrate Grandparents Day and 100 days of Kindergarten. A special invitation to our Kindergarten Parents and Grandparents too, to join us in the Kindergarten Classroom at 10am for a SPaR (Stop, Pray and Reflect) followed by a sacramental craft you can join in with your child/grandchild.

 

HSC Graduation Prayer Packs 2025

Each year, the Catholic Primary Schools in Botany Randwick prepare a HSC Graduation Prayer Pack for each student graduating Year 12 at Brigidine, Marcellin, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Kensington and Corpus Christi.

 

Families are invited to volunteer to write and colour a card (which will be supplied by myself) and purchase 1 x multi share pack of chocolates for inclusion in the bag. There are also other items which are included such as a bookmark, prayer card for school Patron Saint and motivation quotes. We only need between 20 - 24 families to volunteer. If your family would like to participate in this initiative, please complete the Google Form. More information will  be communicated to families who have volunteered next week.

 

Father's Day Keyring making

It's that time of year again for keyring making! For new families to our community, each year parents are invited to gather to make keyrings which are sold at our Father's Day stall. The proceeds from the keyrings sold go towards our outreach projects for example the Sydney Vinnies Brekky Van, Blanket making for the homeless and sandwich making for the Lexington Hub in Maroubra. Below are some workshop dates:

Coffee & Connect Term 3

A reminder we have Coffee & Connect on a Wednesday morning after Assembly. Meet on the school grounds. All welcome to attend.
