The Third Quarter
I often use a football analogy with each year at school, recognising that each term is like a quarter in a game of football. So with that analogy in mind, we have just had the half time break and have run back onto the field. David Parkin, a famous coach, used to call the third quarter the 'premiership quarter' and I have to agree with him. I think Term 3 is a crucial term in the learning journey of the students we teach.
Semester One reports have been disseminated and learning goals for Term 3 have been set. NAPLAN results have been sent out with really pleasing results for both our Year 3 and Year 5 students. Our massive whole school production is now behind us, so our major focus in Term 3 (the third quarter) is learning and teaching. A whole school focus on Science will generate a lot of great experiences in classes, as well as our other curriculum areas. I look forward to seeing you all around the place (or at an assembly) real soon.
Plushy Day a Raging Success
Thanks again to our brilliant Year 2/3 class for organising such a great day last Tuesday, where we all got to bring in a Plushy ( I now know what a Plushy is!) and enjoy its company for the day. To Hanny, Jessica, Mariana and Connor....GREAT JOB!!
Have a great third quarter everyone!
Thanks again for your ongoing support.
