Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Prayer for Family

Loving God,

We pray for members of our school community who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

May they find comfort in the support of others, strength in their memories, and peace in Your presence.

Wrap them in Your love during this difficult time and give them hope in the days ahead.

Amen.

Thank You for a Wonderful Parent Teacher Meeting Day

We extend our heartfelt thank you to all our staff for their outstanding work during our recent Parent Teacher Meetings. The feedback from families has been overwhelmingly positive. Parents felt welcomed, informed, and reassured about their children’s academic learning and wellbeing.

The calm, organised atmosphere across the school reflected the professionalism, preparation, and dedication of our teachers.

Building strong, trusting relationships with families is at the heart of Sacred Heart, and we thank our staff for continuing to nurture this in such a genuine and meaningful way.

NAPLAN

This week, our Year 3 and Year 5 students at Sacred Heart, along with students across the country, received their 2025 NAPLAN individual reports. NAPLAN provides a snapshot of student progress in literacy and numeracy, aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

We are so proud of our students and are pleased to share that Sacred Heart has once again excelled in both literacy and numeracy. These outstanding results reflect our students’ effort and perseverance, and the commitment of our dedicated teaching staff and school leaders to excellence in learning and teaching. We look forward to sharing our school's full 2025 data once state and national results are released.

Here is a link to the VCAA Website with information for parents and carers about the NAPLAN individual student reports:

If you would like to discuss your child’s NAPLAN report, please don’t hesitate to contact their classroom teacher.

Safety Around Sacred Heart School

To ensure the safety of all our students, families, and staff, we kindly ask everyone in our school community to follow these important guidelines when dropping off or picking up children:

  • Use designated drop-off and pick-up zones only.
  • Always have children exit vehicles on the kerb side.
  • Observe the 40 km/h speed limit, speeding puts everyone at risk.
  • Never double park, tailgate, or block driveways.

Your cooperation is essential in maintaining a safe and orderly environment around our school. Thank you for helping us keep Sacred Heart a safe place for all.

2026 Foundation Enrolments

We only have a few places left!

If you know a family interested in joining our warm and welcoming Sacred Heart community, please encourage them to contact the office to book a tour or collect an enrolment pack.

Plushy Day Success!

A big thank you to our amazing Year 2/3 class for organising such a fun and heartwarming Plushy Day last Tuesday. Students enjoyed bringing their Plushies and sharing a day full of cuddly company and smiles.

Special shoutout to Connor, Hanny, Mariana, and Jessica. GREAT JOB on making the day so memorable.

The children were delighted to buy a Special Treat, and we will be selling more Special Treats this Thursday. Please remember to send your child with $3 if they would like to purchase one.

Thank you for supporting this wonderful initiative!

Wishing everyone a lovely week!

Warm regards,

Antoniette
