Selamat siang Foundation families!

This week we have been getting stuck into our creative projects ahead of our upcoming Guided Inquiry Showcase! Many students have explored visual arts mediums including watercolour, oil pastel and paint. Foundation can't wait to continue making their art before creating an Art Gallery for the MPRPS community to enjoy!

Maths has been highly engaging and fun for all this week!! During an SRC meeting at the end of Term 3, students shared that they would like to continue practising counting as well as to learn more about patterns. So, you guessed it, we combined the two and have been investigating counting patterns!! Students have used 100's charts, number lines and materials to practise skip counting by a range of numbers. We have been impressed by the way they identify, continue and explain the patterns they are creating!! A favourite is definitely counting by tens using our bundles! Taking maths to the next level, we participated in the World Of Maths Incursion which was epic! Students moved around the hall with a small team attempting a range of mathematical challenges! Take a look at some of them in the pictures. Thank you to the parents who attended, your support made the fun of the incursion all possible!

Thank you to Elisa from FH for choosing a book to inspire us this week. We used the story before we created our artworks this week for our upcoming Guided Inquiry Showcase. It showed us how art can be shown in many different ways and how art inspires and brings communities together. We can't wait to show you our artworks, songs, plays and videos at our showcase!
