Principal Report

I want to say a big thank you to the entire school community for your continued support, patience and collaboration as I have undertaken the Acting Principal role this year and as I move forward into the future in the substantive Principal position. As we enter the final weeks of the 2023 school year and I reflect upon the many achievements, highlights and experiences we have had, it is clear that nothing is more rewarding than visiting the students as they engage in their classrooms and programs, with their peers and with school staff, demonstrating perseverance and a growth mindset as they proudly share their work or activity with me.

The Allison Harcourt Awards 2023

It was a pleasure to attend the Allison Harcourt Awards on Thursday the 23rd of November at the Hawthorne Arts Center, hosted by Dr Monique Ryan, in support of our two wonderful recipients. Emma Duffy as our Primary Learning Center and Massimo Cilmi as our Secondary Learning Center representatives. These students were nominated for their contributions to our school and wider community. Congratulations to Emma and Massimo we are very grateful for your contributions to our school community.

Capital works project update

With the final concrete having being poured last week for the remaining classrooms, amenities and school entry ramp a variety of trades have been busy working in these areas. I look forward to receiving an update in this week’s capital works project meeting regarding the partial handover of stage B as we endeavor to move into the new classroom and adjoining spaces before the end of the year. SJHiggins have graciously offered their support in facilitating this move to ensure that there is minimal impact to the students learning. I hope to update you when I receive more information. Thank you again for your continued patience throughout this project.
