Introductions and Farewells for 2024

Farewell (for now)

Today. I am thrilled to share some heartwarming news. Our amazing music teacher, Anita has some extraordinary news to share- she's eagerly expecting a beautiful bundle of joy early next year.  Please join me in congratulating Anita on this exciting new chapter of her life and we wish her and her growing family all the best.

We are also saying a short farewell to Sharif, who has accepted a teaching position at Reservoir West Primary School for the 2024 school year. We wish Sharif all the best as he explores other oppurtunities and hope that 2024 is another successful year for him.

Our beloved Italian Teacher Gaynor also finishes up with us at Northcote Primary at the end of this year. We thank Gaynor for the amazing job that she has done this year working with the Specialist team and wish her all the best as she spends some quality time with her grandchildren.

We would also like to acknowledge Olivia who stepped into Prep B in Term 3 this year. Olivia is moving on to a new school in 2024, and we would like to take this oppurtunity to thank her for the wonderful job that she has done in the Prep team this year and we wish her all the best.

Please be sure to say your farewells to Anita, Sharif, Olivia and Gaynor over the next little while (8 days but who is counting) and we look forward to hopefully seeing them all again in the near future.

Introducing...

Martin who will be stepping in to the Music position for 2024.

My name is Martin King and I’m very excited to be starting at Northcote Primary School in 2024 and making great music with all its students! My background in teaching music has focussed across school and instrumental music learning. My first ever instrument I started to learn was the Flute, followed a few years later by the Guitar. Since then, I have studied music at university in addition to teaching, I have sung, composed music, and I have continued to play just about any instrument I can get my hands on. I think music is something everyone should have the opportunity to explore and engage with and I can’t wait to see and hear the musical learning we get up to in the new year!

Introducing Emma, who will be joining our 5/6 Team in 2024.

Greetings!

My name is Emma Heron and I am so excited to be a part of the Northcote Primary School community. I am an experienced teacher who loves building strong positive relationships, and helping students learn and grow. I love being active and walking my dog Thor. I look forward to getting to know everyone and am extremely excited for this new opportunity.
