Step up Program- Statewide Transition day

Don't forget that on Tuesday the 12th December, our Grade 6 students will head off to their high school for next year and our current students will step up to their new year level. During this session they will find out their new class, their new classroom and their teacher for 2024. This session will be taking place between 11:30am and 1:30pm.

An important  reminder to all parents of our Year 6 students to please download your child's reports, as you will not be able to access them after your child has exited Northcote Primary.

 End of Year Picnic

It was so wonderful to come together as a community on Monday to celebrate the end of 2023 with our End of Year Picnic. It was so lovely catching up with everyone and enjoying the sushi and ice cream!

We are incredibly grateful to all of the volunteers who helped out on the night and, in particular, to Kate Creighton-Selvay and Michelle Leembruggen who dedicated time and energy into organising the event.

Prep Transition

On Tuesday we had our last Prep transistion  session. Our beautiful new Preps were introduced to their new classroom teacher, their new buddies and to their class. They also got another taste of what to expect when they come to Northcote Primary school next year. We are feeling very pleased and quietly confident that our 2024 Prep are excited and looking forward to starting at Northcote next year. Guess what? We are excited too!

End of Year Reflection

As we approach the end of a truly remarkable year, it's a fitting time to reflect on the journey we've shared and celebrate the collective accomplishments that have defined our school community this year.

This year has been marked by resilience, perseverence, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment of our students, parents, teachers and staff. Together, we faced challenges head-on, learned valuable lessons and discovered new strengths within ourselves and each other.

Our students have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their learning and they have shown some amazing growth across the year. I am so proud of the individual and collective achievements that they have managed in 2024.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible staff who work tirelessly to nurture the potential within each student to encourage everyone to thrive. Your passion and dedication are the foundations of our beautiful community and we really do appreciate the work that you do.

To our parents and carers, thank you for entrusting us with the education and wellbeing of your children. Your partnership is invaluable, and we appreciate the support and encouragement you provide each and every day.

Wishing everyone a restful and rejuvenating break. May it be filled with joy, laughter and moments of celebration. We eagerly look forward to seeing the return of familiar faces and the welcoming of new ones in the upcoming school year.

See you all on Tuesday 30th of January.

Take Care,

Shaun.
