Dear Families & Carers,
Welcome to our final edition of our newsletter for 2023. We are keeping things short and sweet this week, but didn't want to miss the opportunity to celebrate a few final things with you all.
Due to the hot temperatures forecast for tomorrow, we have made the decision to move our Carols Afternoon to the morning at 10am. The venue will remain the same at Our Lady's Church. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope that you can still attend.
On Wednesday the 7th - Friday the 9th of February 2024, our Grade 5/6 class are off to school camp! Nothing like starting the term with a bonding experience like no other. We are heading to Borambola in NSW. This is an amazing camp full of adventure activities. In order for your child to attend, we need them to be registered. We ask that families register their child no later than the 17th of January, 2024. Registration is simple, click the link below and follow the prompts. The registration process takes around 10 minutes at the most so please help us out by jumping online.

Permission forms for this camp will be sent out in 2024.
At Our Lady's, we have been working hard on promoting school wide attendance. At the moment, as an extra incentive, we have a competition going on which classes can work together to have the best attendance in the school!

Just a reminder, students finish school this week on Friday the 15th of December. We will be commencing school on Wednesday the 31st of January, 2024. All students will commence school on this day. We will no longer be running a shortened day for our Foundation students when they commence school as we understand they are well and truly ready for school! In the first week, Foundation students will attend the first 3 days. There will be Foundation Student Rest Days commencing in Week 2, for the first 4 weeks of school to allow these students to adjust to school life.
In closing, I have attached a few 'memories from the past' as we prepare to farewell our Grade 6 leaders from Our Lady's. Please don't forget we have a very special Graduation for these students on Thursday at 6pm! The Festival of Grade 6 is certainly underway at Our Lady's and these beautiful individuals are feeling the change. We wish these students the very best during their various transition days this week.
This group of students is like no other I have taught in my many years of education. I wish this tremendous group well in all future endeavours. See if you can work out who is who! (Please note - at the time of publishing we did not have all photos available. If you haven't sent your child's photo in please do so we can honour them in our Grade 6 Graduation.)
Blessings,
Cassie Lynch
