What's On In 5/6

Buddies

In week 1, the 5/6 students broke up into different groups to visit their buddies. The grade 6’s had fun creating chatterboxes with the foundation students, which were used to give you a challenge or message depending on the colour and numbers chosen. The grade 5’s were split up to visit Warakela and Seedlings kindergartens, where they enjoyed playtime and crafting with the younger students. 

Mullauna Art show

In week 1, our grade 5 and 6 students were given the opportunity to attend a student art show hosted by Mullauna Secondary College. Students were able to explore the Art, Design and Film creations of the high school students. Students were impressed with the high standards of the work on display and speculated about how they were created. This marvelous art show inspired the 5/6 students to consider what they too could achieve in the coming years as they move into high school.

Colour Run

In week 2, our 5/6 students participated in the whitehorse Colour run fundraiser. Students loved running around the oval and getting their pristine white t-shirts covered in colourful clouds of powder. The afternoon was topped off by having two of the year level teachers - Ms. Tia and Mr. Cahill - among the 4 people to be covered in slime.
